Why a pre-purchase inspection?
On a marketplace between private individuals, the buyer has no guarantee of the aircraft's actual condition before paying. An independent inspection — with no connection to the seller — checks the engine condition, the airframe, the airworthiness documents and the maintenance history before you commit.
What an inspector checks
Flight and engine logbooks, compliance with airworthiness directives (AD/SB), condition of the airframe and flight controls, avionics, corrosion, and consistency between the displayed hours and the documents.
A budget before the purchase, not after
An inspection generally costs a fraction of the aircraft's price — well worth it if it prevents buying a hidden problem. It is negotiated directly with the inspector, outside Aircraft2Sell's (zero) commission.
The directory is being built
Aircraft2Sell is progressively listing independent inspectors across Europe. No inspector is listed yet in your search country — check back soon, or read our guide to know what to check yourself in the meantime.
