Frequently asked questions

The questions light aircraft buyers and sellers ask most often.

What budget should I plan for a used light aircraft?
An older Cessna 150/152 or Robin DR400 can be found from a few tens of thousands of euros. A recent Cessna 172 or Piper PA-28, a Diamond DA40 or a Cirrus SR22 sell for considerably more. Price mainly depends on airframe hours, remaining engine potential (SMOH), avionics and maintenance history.
Which documents should I check before buying?
A valid certificate of airworthiness and airworthiness review certificate (ARC), the airframe, engine and propeller logbooks, the inspection history and applied airworthiness directives, and the status of life-limited components. A pre-purchase inspection by an independent workshop is strongly recommended.
Can I buy an aircraft registered in another European country?
Yes. Transferring registration between EASA member states is a routine procedure: deregistration in the country of origin, then new registration and ARC in the receiving country. Allow for administrative lead times and associated fees.
How much does it cost to post a listing?
The basic listing is free and no commission is charged on the sale. Paid promotion options are available to increase the visibility of your listing. Details are on the pricing page.
